The 14th Indonesia International Creative Textile Apparel Accessories Exhibition, INATEX 2016 was held at Jakarta International Expo from 27-30 April 2016. This is one of the key exhibitions in South East Asia region showcasing a full range of products and accessories applicable to the textile products industries.
We are seeing more textile centers in Indonesia moving from traditional printing to digital printing, and dye-sublimation transfer in particular are growing rapidly from small production to industrial production using high speed digital printing machinery. Indonesia is a major production base for many multinational fashion and sportswear companies, along with other countries in this region.
In this exhibition, Kaspar Papir collaborated with PT. Kalorin Kreasi Bahan, the authorised dealer in Southeast Asia of MS Printing Solutions, the European manufacturer of digital textile printing machinery. The aim was test and demonstrate the range of products available at Kaspar Papir, which include superlite45 (45 gsm), lite65 (65 gsm), and speed85 (85 gsm) dye-sublimation papers. The test and demonstration were performed with the MS JP4 machine, a high speed industrial digital printer capable of printing more than 100 running mtr per hour on for actual production quality on dye-sublimation paper.
According to Mr Farley Harja Kang, marketing director of PT. Kalorin Kreasi Bahang, “After numerous tests, we have found Kaspar Papir’s dye-sublimation paper works well with the MS machine that we promote. Quality features of dye-sublimation paper such as ink release, fast drying time and physical stability are very important to support the machines running at full speed. The industry continues to search for materials that will optimise production cost and achieve quality outputs. Kaspar Papir’s paper ticks the right boxes in that front as well.”
Although many in Indonesia are still focused on low cost and quality being secondary, there is apparent growth in the high quality segment of the textile printing industry. Kaspar Papir encourages optimal relationships with distributors to educate the end users enabling them to extract the full potential of the machines, ink and media, while saving costs. Kaspar Papir believes having consistent high quality products helps improve the output quality, which in turn secures a more competitive position in the global marketplace.
